My job experience includes working as a yoga instructor, hostess, caregiver, lifeguard, swim instructor, high school student fundraising, babysitting for various families, and working as a volunteer at various places.
I am a motivated certified yoga instructor with training in power yoga. I enjoy teaching and connecting with my students. I began taking pilates mat and barre classes several years ago and around the same time discovered yoga and instantly fell in love with it. I loved the way my body and mind felt after classes. I wanted to explore and understand yoga beyond just taking classes so 6 months after doing classes twice a week, I was motivated to sign up for their teacher training program. I was not expecting to teach, I just wanted to go deeper into my own practice but during my training, I realized that I loved to teach. I have been teaching swim lessons and tutoring for years but always to younger children and so at first, I was intimidated to instruct adults. However, once I started learning more and going deeper into the many layers of yoga, all I wanted to do was share it with people.
After completing my certification, I did the Core Power extension program that allowed me to dive in even deeper and learn to teach higher level classes. After I moved to New Zealand to study at the University of Otago, I began teaching classes at Studio Tula. I then spent a month in India so that I could teach others to become yoga instructors.
I have been an athlete all my life. I played water polo for eight years I also swam for three years and played lacrosse in high school. While I often cross-trained, I almost never stretched which resulted in shoulder and knee injuries. I am now committed to yoga 6 days a week whether it is taking a class or doing my own individual routine at home.

Resume
I am a motivated certified yoga instructor with training in power yoga. I enjoy teaching and connecting with my students. I began taking pilates mat and barre classes over a year ago and around the same time discovered yoga at Core Power and instantly fell in love with it. However, once I started learning more and going deeper into the many layers of yoga, all I wanted to do was share it with people.
After completing my certification, I did the Core Power extension program that allowed me to dive in even deeper and learn to teach higher level classes. Through the program, I have had the opportunity to teach many beginner classes and learned to sequence more challenging classes. I hope to continue to deepen my practice and explore yoga while sharing my knowledge with others through teaching.
